Remember Me

Ribbons found in Georgiana’s Workbox: It seems these types of ribbons were mainly used to keep a bond of deep affection between people, either romantic or kindred. The longer phrase of “See this and remember me” was often created on various forms of embroidery. As there are several ribbons in Georgiana’s workbox… and some yet to be embroidered, we might think they were connected with her but it is a mystery as to exactly how.

The stitching on ribbon below is not as neat. Ne m’oubliez pas. Forget me not.

The questions continue…does the creator keep them or send them onwards and what would the recipient of such ribbons do with them?
